The OnGuard Controller Dashboard simplifies device management and real-time monitoring. Use it to check outstanding alerts, track online/offline devices, review site data, and handle patrol issues efficiently through the Monitoring Stack. With tools like the OBibook, Attendance Tab, and detailed alert actions, the dashboard ensures seamless oversight and quick resolutions.
Step 1: Log into the OnGuard Dashboard
- Access the OnGuard dashboard with your credentials.
- Ensure you are on the main screen to begin.
Step 2: Review the Dashboard Overview
- Look at the top-left corner to see the Outstanding Alerts section.
- These are unresolved alerts requiring your attention.
- Check the following metrics displayed on the screen:
- Total Sites: Number of customer sites being monitored.
- Devices: Total number of devices across all sites.
- Online Devices: Devices currently active.
- Offline Devices: Devices offline for 5+ minutes.
Step 3: Investigate Offline Devices
- Click on the Offline Devices section.
- A list will appear showing:
- Device Name
- Site Name
- Last Online Time
- Assess devices offline for an extended period (e.g., 2+ hours).
- Investigate for network connectivity issues or power-down incidents.
Step 4: Navigate the Tabs
- Go to the Device Data and Map Tab:
- View a complete list of all sites under your management.
- Open the OBibook Tab:
- Create new OB entries or view previous entries from the last shift.
- Access the Attendance Tab:
- Check users’ sign-in and sign-out statuses.
- Use this tab to manually clock out users in case of issues (e.g., site changes).
Step 5: Check the Monitoring Stack
- Scroll down to the Monitoring Stack section.
- View signals and alerts from devices, including:
- Points scanned.
- Patrols in progress or completed.
- Alerts for patrol issues (e.g., incomplete patrols, wrong routes).
Step 6: Handle Alerts in the Monitoring Stack
- Select an alert to view its details.
- Take action using one of the following options:
- Create Feedback: Log notes and place the alert on hold for later follow-up.
- Complete Alert: Mark the alert as resolved and close it.
- Create OB Entry: Generate an official OB report from the alert and hold it for additional updates.
Step 7: Wrap-Up and Save Progress
- Ensure all alerts and offline devices have been reviewed.
- Save any feedback or OB entries created during your session.
- Log out when finished to maintain system security.
